The Modacrylic Flame-Retardant yarn,
made by the Modacrylic fiber from Formosa Plastics Corp., is a
difficult-combustion product with outstanding self-extinguishing property.
After removed from the flame source, this material will form a char barrier
that put off the fire without creating dangerous molten droplets, which greatly
improves safety when wearing. The Modacrylic yarn can be blended with cotton, rayon,
Formotex, and other fibers to increase its softness and moisture absorption
ability. And with excellent stability, its flame retardancy performance will
not decrease after repeated washing or normal use over long period of time.
