Le Yuan Industrial Co., Ltd. was established in 1983 inChanghua. In 1993, due to expansion, we moved to ourpresent location in Fang-Yuan, Changhua. In total, ourfacilities cover 0.12 million square feet. At thebeginning, we produced only molds for die-casting andplastic injection for watering tools. In 1988, we enteredthe watering tool manufacturing industry, producing our ownline of watering tools. Under strict standards of qualitycontrol, we create result-oriented products that ensure ourcustomers of high profits. In March 1998, we gained ISO9002certified becoming the first one who meets the ISO9002standard in this industry. Our main business is in lawn andgarden watering products, die casting, machine brass andplastic injection products. Sales in 1997 reached US$26million. In 1998, we expect to reach US$30 million. Sincewatering tools are seasonal products, we have many assemblylines producing a variety of products to meet customerneeds. With 8 assembly lines during peak seasons, our staffreaches 300 employees. However, during the off-season, wemaintain a staff of 150 employees. During the 1997-98season, we shipped about ninety 40' containers each month.The quantities of each product are: watering nozzles / 13million pieces, oscillating sprinklers / 2 million sets,pulsate sprinklers / 2.5 million, and hose connectors / 16million pieces.We will continue to develop new styles of products eachyear to meet customers' needs. We also research andimplement strict policies for quality control. Presently,the R&D team is composed of 8 people working all yearround. In addition, we are moving plastic injection andpowder-coated equipment back to the main plant to beginoperation in September.In the past year, we shipped 75% of our products to NorthAmerican. Our major customers in North America are K-Mart,Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Home Base, Meijer, Ace, Melnor,Rain-Bird, Nelson, Sun-Mate and Canada K-Mart, CanadianTire and Zellers. ...
