Sampo Corporation was established in 1936 as Ton Cheng Tang Company for radio products by Mr. M. P. Chen in Taiwan. It was renamed to be "Sampo Electronic Company" in 1964. In 1970, Sampo was listed on Taiwan Stock market as a public company.
