Chongqing Heng-Star Biotechnologies Co., Ltd. was founded in Zhengyang Industrial Park, Qianjiang District, Chongqing City in Dec. 2004, engaging in the planting and extracting of Artemisia annua L (Qing Hao) and in the researching and marketing of Artemisinin and its derivatives.
So far, we totally have 6590 acres of Planting Base, 50 acres of GAP Demonstrating Base and 16.5 acres of Seed Cultivating Base. Thereby, we can have adequate material resources for our production. Our current capacity for the production of Artemisinin is about 20,000kg per year and our main derivative products are Dihydro-Artemisinin, Artemether and Atresunate which has been measured up to the requirement of China Pharmacopoeia 2005 analyzed by National Drug Control Department.
The application scope of our extracting & condensing equipment includes the extraction from various plants in different solvents, such as the extraction, separation, deactivation and purification of volatile oil, yellow ketone, bio-alkalis, organic acid and alcohol.
